Job Summary:

Devimpact Institute is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in M&E practices, with extensive knowledge in designing and implementing M&E frameworks. The role involves designing and delivering training programs to build the capacity of professionals in M&E, ensuring they can effectively monitor, evaluate, and report on program outcomes and impacts.

Description

  • Develop comprehensive training materials, including manuals, presentations, case studies, and exercises, to educate professionals on best practices in M&E.
  • Design and facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and webinars on M&E topics such as program design, data collection methods, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Customize training programs to meet the specific needs and skill levels of diverse audiences, including M&E specialists, program officers, data analysts, and executive leadership.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants in understanding and navigating various M&E tools and methodologies.
  • Incorporate practical examples, case studies, and real-life scenarios into training delivery to enhance participants' understanding and application of M&E concepts and techniques.
  • Offer expert advice and recommendations on strategies for effective monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in M&E and integrate relevant updates into training content and delivery methodologies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to participants post-training, including access to resources, tools, and networks to facilitate continued learning and professional development.

Education

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.

More Details on Experience

  • Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) with a focus on Monitoring and Evaluation, research, or program development and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of M&E principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs or capacity-building initiatives, preferably in a training or consulting capacity.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences through dynamic and interactive training methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to critically assess M&E challenges and develop practical solutions and recommendations.

Mode of Engagement

Successful consultants will be engaged whenever the training or consultancy opportunity becomes available. The consultant will be engaged on a part time basis for the duration of the training/consultancy assignment.
