Job Summary:

Devimpact Institute is seeking a Community Development Trainer who is both passionate and seasoned in their field. The successful candidate will be tasked with the design, implementation, and delivery of training programs that are centered around community development, leadership, and capacity building.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in community development and adult education, coupled with a proven ability to deliver impactful training. A track record of fostering community engagement and growth is essential for this role.

• Develop and deliver training programs related to community development, including topics such as project management, leadership, community engagement, and advocacy.
• Design and develop engaging needs assessments methodology, training materials, modules, and resources aligned with community development
• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for diverse audiences, both in-person and through virtual platforms, ensuring participants' comprehension and retention of key concepts.
• Provide guidance on community mobilization, participatory approaches, and sustainable practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to leverage resources and expertise for program delivery and evaluation.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, gather feedback, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of best practices, trends, and innovations in community development and adult learning methodologies.
• Mentor and support community members in their personal and professional growth.

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with community development, social work, community organizing or project management gained through a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs in community development or related areas.
• Knowledge of participatory approaches, adult learning principles, and community engagement strategies.
• Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion with a passion for empowering communities.
• High level of enthusiasm and confidence in interaction with diverse groups of people (various ages, backgrounds, nationalities);
• Experience with the development sector (NGOs), Government Institutions, financial sector or research institutions.

• Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Mode of Engagement

Successful consultants will be engaged whenever the training or consultancy opportunity becomes available. The consultant will be engaged on a part time basis for the duration of the training/consultancy assignment.
