Summary

Our client, a leading tours and travel company is seeking two (2) qualified Tour Consultants to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for designing, selling, and managing tour packages for high-level 5-star luxury clients. They should be client-focused, excellent communicators, and passionate about travel and conservation.

Description

 

  • Tour Package Design:

    • Design and sell individual and group tour packages tailored to client needs.
    • Provide expert travel advice and recommendations to clients.
  • Client Management:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with high-level 5-star luxury clients.
    • Ensure client satisfaction through excellent service and follow-up.
  • Tour Operations:

    • Manage all aspects of tour operations including bookings, logistics, and itineraries.
    • Coordinate and oversee event management, meetings, and conference arrangements.
  • Product Knowledge:

    • Stay updated on East African tourism products and industry trends.
    • Offer insights and updates to clients about new destinations and experiences.
  • Conservation Activities:

    • Participate in and promote conservation and environmental activities organized by the company.
  • Administrative Duties:

    • Prepare and manage tour budgets, invoices, and financial reports.
    • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to perform various administrative tasks.

 

Education

Diploma in Tour Operations from a recognized institution.

More Details on Experience

Minimum of eight years’ experience as a tour consultant dealing with high-level 5-star luxury clients.

Extensive knowledge of the East African tourism product.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Fluent in both English and Swahili. Knowledge of Spanish (written and spoken) is an added advantage.
    • Dynamic communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Client-focused with a passion for delivering high-quality service.
    • Enthusiastic about conservation-based activities.
    • Must be ready to work flexible hours including weekends and public holiday.
    • Good understanding of cultures especially of communities living near wildlife protected areas.

Terms And Conditions

 

  • This role may require working outside regular business hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • The position may also involve travel to various destinations as part of the job responsibilities.
