Our client Renova Limited is looking for a Stock Controller
The position is a liaison role between the Procurement Department and the Warehousing & Logistics Department. The Stock Controller will thus assist the Procurement Manager with the purchasing and shipments tracking procedures and at the same time assist the Warehouse & Logistics Manager with the receiving and supply chain procedures.
The Stock Controller will maintain the company’s inventory records in accurate and organized way physically in the warehouse and in the SAP Business One system.
He/she is expected to develop stock labeling system that will allow for easier identification of items in the warehouse and organize for stock takes, monthly spot checks and stock reconciliations.
This person will report directly to Finance and Administration Manager

Stock Controller Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring Availability of Stocks
The primary responsibility of the Stock Controller will be maintaining optimal levels of stock at all times aside from constantly evaluating product count, he/she must foresee supply and demand, taking a strategic approach to replenishing so that both overstocking and running
out of stock are avoided.
Handling of Purchases and Transfers
Assisting the Procurement Manager to carry out the entire phase of product purchasing, from selecting and negotiating with suppliers to tracking shipments and receiving orders.
Organize Storage
Developing a meticulous process that involves tagging, boxing, and labeling of stock items that follow a specific organization scheme that guarantees ease of retrieval, preparing items for display becomes efficient, and maintain a steady flow of stock from storage to shelf throughout the workday.
Record Inventory
He/she will maintain an accurate inventory of both stock items and transactions, noting down dates of purchase and receipt, item count and details, issues encountered, and more.
Consolidate this into regular reports presented to other department units such as finance and sales.
Undertake Audits
Given the constant flow of products, he/she must undertake inventory audits to eliminate discrepancies. Audits for small batches occur every day, while large-scale audits may be performed monthly or Quarterly. These involve checking for quality as well as making sure that financial values add up and all products are listed in the inventory with correct details and all procurement processes are followed and approved by as per the laid down procedure.
He/she will develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
- Manage stock transactions in SAP Business One system to ensure optimum stock position for operational optimization.
- Make sound, data driven recommendations on programs and processes to improve the management of inventory. Develop and implement resolutions to identify gaps.
- Developing inventory control models that promote lower cost of sales, shorter lead and reduced stock levels.
Education
- First degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Certificate in Procurement, Purchasing & Supply, Accounting, etc.
More Details on Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in warehousing, logistics and or cost accounting
- Experience in a manufacturing concern will be an added advantage.

- Proficiency with SAP Business One system and other standard office soft wares.
