Role Overview:
The sponsorship supervisor will be responsible for monitoring the sponsorships of Qatar Charity, through field and office work and managing cases' data and reports via electronic programs, as well as developing plans to implement social, educational, and economic activities for the sponsored individuals, in addition to coordinating and cooperating with relevant institutions in the local community, under the management of the Social welfare and Sponsorship Program at Qatar Charity. This role plays a vital part in supporting our humanitarian and development initiatives in Kenya.
Description
- Commitment to all policies, systems, and procedures in effect at Qatar
- Understanding the social and cultural reality of the community works and being keen to respect the community's customs, traditions, and norms
- Preparing a study of the cases of the sponsored beneficiaries according to the methodology of social research based on the instructions of the social care officer.
- Submit the case studies to the social care officer and provide him with additional information about the cases that have been studied when needed.
- Following up on the preparation of the guardians' files according to the required document lists from Qatar Charity and ensuring the accuracy of all submitted documents
- Maintaining confidentiality of information related to the sponsored individuals being studied and fully committing to not using this information except within the professional limits designated for it.
- Preparation and implementation of the periodic work plan (weekly/monthly) under the supervision of the social care officer.
- Supervising the provision of required services for the beneficiaries under his supervision according to the general framework of social supervision followed by Qatar Charity, and in accordance with the approved timeline by the social welfare officer.
- Supervising the receipt of beneficiaries of their allocations directly at the scheduled time and with the specified amounts and preparing the receipt lists.
- Communication with various stakeholders in the area of work for the sponsorships, in a way that serves the provision of the established services for the beneficiaries they supervise.
- Conducting a follow-up home visit for the sponsored individual under his supervision.
- Preparing individual reports for beneficiaries by categories and according to the
approved periodic timeframe for completing these reports and ensuring the accuracy and updating of the data included in the reports periodically. - Facilitating communication with beneficiaries or reaching them for the purposes of follow-up, monitoring, or evaluation.
- Preparation of quarterly performance reports to detail various achievements made in providing services to the different groups being supervised.
- Providing the necessary information about the beneficiaries they supervise when
requested, either from the office or from the headquarters. - Supervising the implementation of activities and services provided to the sponsored individuals, in collaboration with activity supervisors in the social care program.
- What is required of him in terms of additional activities and tasks, is subject to the guidelines of the direct supervisor.
Education
- Bachelor's degree related to social or related field
More Details on Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in humanity services, preferably within the NGO
- Language (English & Arabic)—any additional local Kenyan community language is an added advantage
- Familiarity with donor compliance requirements (e.g., USAID, EU, UN agencies) is an added advantage.
