Position Title: Sales Representative

Location: Nairobi & Mount Kenya Region

Reporting To: Sales Representatives

We are pleased to share the job description for the position of Sales Representative covering Nairobi and the Mount Kenya Region. This role is critical to our growth strategy and requires a highly motivated individual with strong sales acumen, market awareness, and excellent communication skills.

• Conduct regular visits to existing and potential customers including retail supermarkets, minimarts, wholesalers, and other outlets
• Showcase and promote our product range, ensuring proper display and visibility at customer locations
• Monitor stock levels on shelves and in customer warehouses; check product expiry dates and ensure timely rotation
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, and payment terms with customers, in line with company policies
• Follow up on customer payments and ensure timely collections
• Share timely and accurate customer feedback with the office to support pricing decisions, discount structures, and payment plans
• Expand market coverage by acquiring new customers and strengthening relationships with existing ones
• Cover all possible remote regions within the assigned territory to maximize market penetration
• Track competitor activity including new product launches, pricing strategies, promotions, and marketing efforts
• Provide insights and recommendations to the office regarding regional sales strategies, promotional needs, and marketing opportunities
• Represent the company professionally at trade shows, exhibitions, and local events when required
• Maintain detailed records of customer visits, sales performance, and market intelligence
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and customer support
• Uphold company values and ensure high standards of customer service and ethical conduct

• Must maintain a clean and responsible lifestyle, free from habitual use of alcohol, smoking, drugs, or any other substance that may impair judgment or performance.
• Proven experience in field sales minimum 2-3 years, preferably in FMCG, retail, or wholesale distribution
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and travel extensively across respective area e. Nairobi and Mount Kenya region
• Familiarity with regional market dynamics and customer behavior

• Good reporting skills and proficiency in basic digital tools (e.g., email, Excel, etc)
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus
