Radio Africa Limited is one of Kenya’s leading media houses looking for strong, seasoned, strategic, visionary and experienced Sales Managers with an excellent track record for exceeding sales targets, developing, motivating and growing teams who is seeking a job opportunity to ensure good relationship with clients and customer service in driving the sales of Kenya’s leading radio brands.


The Sales Managers will be responsible for hard selling and negotiation of airtime including sponsorships and promotions from direct clients. Conducting market surveys, managing the sales executives, analyse periodically media advertising expenditures, growing, developing and mentoring the sales team, promote the organization’s brands and generate periodic reports on actual and projected sales. This role will be reporting to the Group Direct Sales Manager.


Key responsibilities and tasks

  • Meet your performance targets and KPIs as set by management annually.
  • Conduct monthly analysis of media advertising expenditure to help determine which clients and industry the team can critically focus on to maximize sales volume and growth.
  • Ensure total coverage of territories and industries and present a weekly report to the GDSM on new opportunities captured by the team.
  • To assign dormant missed spend clients to various sales executives on a weekly basis.
  • Acquire new business opportunities to achieve set targets and ensure business growth.
  • Support the growing Sales Executives by taking them for meetings if need be to do hard selling and negotiation and closing of the businesses.
  • Conduct market intelligence on opportunities on the ground and how best to take advantage of them and support the team in industry dominance
  • Conduct price surveys, customer satisfaction surveys and other media market research and discuss with the GDSM on course of action.
  • Fully represent the GDSM in Management of the team when need arises.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner worthy of respect and integrity in the company as well as outside the company and ensure that your conduct does not bring the company into disrepute or cause staff to lose respect for your position as a leader or lose faith in your ability to lead. Integrity is a key element to consider as a leader.

  1. Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Sales or related field
  2. Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations
