Summary

A Mombasa based Tea export company is looking for a Quality Control Officer with at least 6 years’ experience. The successful candidate will spearhead maintaining of our current certification/accreditations - food safety system certification (FSSC 22000 Version 6.0) and managing transition to upgrades / improvements on the current standard and Health and Safety standards.

A practical and analytical approach, creativity, determination, and an ability to think laterally are keys to becoming successful in this position.

Description

 

  • Oversee and maintain compliance with FSSC 22000 Version 6.0 food safety standards.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external certification audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the food safety management system.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and non-conformities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and records.
  • Train and guide staff on quality control procedures and best practices.

 

Education

 

  • A degree or diploma in food science and technology or related course.
