Sourcing, procuring and management of supply of goods and services. Managing, monitoring and reconciling supplies, products, items and stores records. Supplier management and planning supplier audits. Ensuring efficiency, compliance and streamlining the procurement processes and policies.

SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Procuring all the inputs, raw materials and items required. 
• Sourcing for quotations, analyzing the quotations and raising LPOs for the purchases
• Assist to prequalify suppliers, assessing suppliers, evaluating suppliers and approving suppliers
• Supervise delivery of items procured, manage delivery checks, ensure proper loading of the items in the stores and manage the farmers’ feeds stores
• Ensure stocks (dry store & cold store) do not go below the reorder level by requisitioning stocks in good time
• Supervising receiving of finished products manufactured from the factory (production) and maintain accurate and up to date records.
• Posting into SAGE inputs issued to the factory and supplies issued to other departments
• Maintenance of approved requisitions forms and stock ledgers
• Managing the stores and ensure high levels of cleanliness and product arrangement.
• Co-ordinate with the Factory Manager to plan and manage dispatch of products to various markets in a timely and efficient manner to meet demand and priorities
• Planning and management of supplier audits as per the Food Safety Standards
• Estimate and manage cost parameters in line with company budgets for purchases made
• Engagement & management of suppliers, manage supplier contracts, purchase orders, invoices, purchase & stores requisitions
• Support the QMS and food safety systems from the procurement aspect. Ensure review of processes, documents and audit review requirements.
• Any other duty as may be assigned by the management

• At least two years proven experience in procurement and purchasing, preferably in FMCG with Food Safety System
• Knowledge of stock control systems, supplier evaluation and procurement regulations.
• Knowledge of SAGE, Bill of Materials and Manufacturing

• Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication, Negotiation and Good reporting skills
• Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
