Role Overview:
Qatar Charity is seeking a skilled and reliable Procurement Officer to manage procurement processes and ensure the efficient acquisition of goods and services in compliance with organizational and donor policies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting project implementation by facilitating transparent, cost-effective, and timely procurement.
Description
- Develop, update, and implement procurement plans in line with project and organizational requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and related documents.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain a database of approved vendors.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services in line with project timelines.
- Conduct market research and analyze price trends to ensure competitive procurement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with program and finance teams to plan and forecast procurement needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities for auditing purposes.
- Assist with resolving supplier disputes or issues promptly and professionally.
- Report to Admin Support Coordinator.
- Language (English & Arabic)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional certification in Procurement and Supply (e.g., CIPS, KISM) is highly desirable.
More Details on Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in procuremenf preferably in the NGO or development sector.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, local regulations, and donor compliance.
