Kazi Solutions on behalf of their client in the NGO sector is seeking a Partnerships & Events Manager to support an anticipated international donor-funded Inclusive Africa Program (IAP). The IAP is a five-year, multimillion-dollar regional initiative that aims to create socio-economic opportunities for young men and women with disabilities in Kenya, South Africa, and Ghana through enhanced digital accessibility. The program's strategic objective is to cultivate an environment that enables young individuals with disabilities to access digital economic opportunities by advancing digital accessibility policy, facilitating stakeholder engagement, driving digital innovation and entrepreneurship, amplifying youth voices, and establishing industry best practices.
Description
- Develop and implement a comprehensive partnerships engagement strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives
- Create target lists of new prospects through contact databases for outreach campaigns
- Manage and enhance relationships with existing partners
- Develop strategies for partnership growth and integration and identify and negotiate new partnerships
- Oversee the development of partner offerings, monitor partnership performance and ensure alignment with the goals of the program
- Acts as a liaison between partners and internal teams, facilitating communication and project execution to ensure the success of the partnership
- Oversee the planning and execution of a variety of events, including in-person convenings, digital-first programs, and hybrid events.
- Lead a team of Event Coordinators and oversee delivery by vendors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Oversee the continuum of event marketing, including content development and promotion, registration tracking, and confirmation, and will also support the development of materials.
- Oversee develop and manage budgets for events, ensuring efficient and cost-effective allocation of resources
- Oversee post-event evaluations to measure the success of events and identify areas for improvement. Prepare comprehensive reports for the executive team and other stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field
More Details on Experience
- 7 years of event and public program management; digital or broadcast event production.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute events of varying size, scope, objective, and topic.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in event planning and management within a complex organization, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.
