Summary

The right candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient financial investment reporting and management of property in order on enhance the management of liquidity in the Scheme by facilitating the implementation of investment strategies in line with approved policy and procedures.

Description

  1. Study and analyse the market to establish suitable and viable monetary investment options on timely basis;
  2. Effectively report on the financial investment and non-financial investment such as property by maintain accurate Investment register;
  3. Application of monthly cash flow statements for forward planning on investments;
  4. Optimize investment returns on any surplus funds;
  5. Prepare investment reports on monthly basis;
  6. Regularly meeting with investment analysists to discuss investment opportunities in the industry;
  7. Preparing informed investments recommendations to be used by the Trustees;
  8. Keeping up to date knowledge on the Kenyan economy and its financial markets;
  9. Sourcing and comparison of quotes for repair and maintenance work for all the property and ensure quality services are rendered;
  10. Compile the database and cash flow reports for the rental properties as well as the Investments in place;
  11. Handle property management requests by tenants and ensure timely responses to their requests;
  12. Ensuring licenses are obtained appropriately, payment of Land Rent and Rates and approval of Building Plans are in place within approved timeframes in line with project time lines and corporate targets;
  13. Provide an exceptional customer focus towards both prospective and existing tenants;
  14. Provide support to the line manager in a range of functions associated with leasing and maintaining the properties in accordance with the scheme’s instructions;
  15. Respond to general enquiries and requirements/requests from property manager that require approvals;
  16. Conduct Inspection of the properties to ensure they are in good condition and order;
  17. Prepare property condition reports to the Scheme;
  18. Approval of tenancy lease agreements on behalf of the scheme;
  19. In consultation with the line Manager, be responsible for arranging maintenance and repairs to properties, which are to be carried out expeditiously, economically, and to an acceptable standard; and
  20. Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Education
Certified Public Accountant Bachelor’s Degree. Association Of Chartered Certified Accountants (acca) Certified Investment And Financial Analysts (cifa) Kenya Institute Of Supplies Management (kism) Certified Financial Analyst (cfa)

Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Marketing, Business Administration/ Management, Commerce (marketing), Entrepreneurship or its equivalent

Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPAK), ACCA, CIFA, CFA or a KISM Diploma and a member of ICPAK, ICIFA or KISM

More Details on Experience

Must have at least six (6) years of experience in a comparable position from a reputable organization
