Summary

Responsible for facilitating ICT services delivery and ensuring that the information flow and development of the ICT meets the scheme needs. In addition, the position will be responsible for development of the staff through training.

Description

  1. Provide IT related support, by reviewing the Scheme’s needs, in terms of computerization, telecommunication, and other technology;
  2. Organize computer training and support for all staff in KPAPS;
  3. Scout for new technological innovations within KPAPS’ core business areas;
  4. Participate in the updating  KPAPS  IT  knowledge  by  participating  in  learning opportunities; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks;
  5. Make system modifications, develop work-around plans or site-specific enhancements, manipulating data, reconfiguring systems, changing operating procedures, training users or operations staff, producing additional documentation, or escalating requests to systems development staff or software suppliers;
  6. Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures;
  7. Monitor progress of requests for support and ensures users and other interested parties are kept informed. Takes corrective action to avoid or minimize delays;
  8. Supporting the design and implementation of IT policies and procedures; and
  9. Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Education
Bachelor’s Degree

Bachelor’s degree in IT/ Computer Science from a recognized institution.

More Details on Experience

Minimum three (3) years of experience in the IT Profession

  • Should have adequate knowledge of the relevant industry/sector as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting the relevant sector
