Summary

Our client, a tier 3 bank seeks to hire an HR Officer.He/she will be responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions. Primary duties include recruitment and selection; employee contracting; employee data management; employee orientation and other HR duties.

Reports to: Head of HR

Job Location:  Nairobi

Description

  • Help in defining the Bank's HR Strategy and policies
  • Putting in place structures for managing staff career growth; 
  • Identification, tracking and management of staff training
  • Administrations of staff performance management programs.
  • Setting up processes for conducting periodic/annual reviews of job descriptions.
  • Provide payroll and benefits administration support.
  • Handle leave processes, records and queries.
  • Management of all HR related reports
  • Providing support to Manager-HR in all staff related matters.
  • Undertaking any other HR related jobs or projects as assigned from time to time.
  • Remittance of payroll deductions to the relevant agencies on time.
  • Regular updating of staff files according to the human resources policy and the industry best practice.
  • Participate and provide administrative support in the employee separation processes including exit interviews.

Education

  1. University Degree – in a business or marketing field
  2. Mustbe a current memberofgoodstandingwith the IHRM
  3. Post Graduate Diploma in HRM
  4. Masters in HR - added advantage

More Details on Experience

  1. At least 5-7 Years’ Experience in HR preferably in the financial services sector.
  2. Must have proven experience in formulating and executing HR Policies
  3. Must demonstrate a deep understanding of the laws  and legislation governing the Kenyan Labour market.

  1. Possess/demonstrate project and process management skills
  2. Analytical and critical thinker.
  3. Be a team player who is able to develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  4. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  5. High level of integrity, ethics and self-discipline
