Job Summary
The HRBP - Commercial will be responsible for ensuring the people agenda is in line with the company objectives and HR laws and practices to ensure a motivated and engaged team.
Description
Talent Sourcing:
- Develop annual workforce plan aligned with the budget and ensure resourcing is in line with the plans
- Develop creative, innovative and cost-effective strategies to recruit high-potential talent
- Ensure best practice in recruitment and complete adherence to the company recruitment policies
- Screen the resumes, perform in-person and phone interviews with shortlisted candidates whilst administering appropriate company assessments
- Organize interview schedules, posting job advertisements and coordinating the hiring process
- Create and implement effective Onboarding for new hires and circulate in good time
- Monitor the probation period of employees and liaise with sector managers for feedback.
People Performance Management:
- Ensure each employee has a clear outlined job description entailing duties & responsibilities
- Ensure goals & targets for all sales & marketing employees are set at the beginning of the financial year
- Goals are cascaded to the individual employees in a clearer & understandable manner and signed off by both the manager and the employee
- Structured & formal performance appraisal exercise is done on quarterly basis to evaluate achievement against set goals and take any remedial measures required.
- Give timely performance review feedback to sector managers for action and performance planning
- Evaluate and reward individuals and teams with speed and flexibility to realize high productivity level whilst at the same time administering disciplinary action where needed.
Employee Relations
- Handle disciplinary & grievance related issues in a prompt and timely manner and ensure due procedures are adhered to
- Document all the disciplinary related cases and update the tracking report as and when the matters arise
- Manage & coordinate employees’ communication systems and other employees’ related meetings
- Ensures high staff morale by providing a conducive working environment and culture
- HR compliance to policies & standard operating procedures whilst providing guidance & counseling on policies and procedures to the employees.
Learning & Development
- Identify learning and development needs within the department through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with sector managers
- Work with sector managers to produce programmes that are relevant towards achieving the desired goals
- Evaluate training and development programmes and give feedback on impacts made
- Plan and assess the Return on Investment of any learning & development activity
- Ensure approvals for claimable expenses are obtained and approved expenses are made in accordance with the regulations.
Day Job Operation
- Annual Leave Schedule Plans in each sector are provided by beginning of the financial year
- Review the leave balance report and share with the sector managers on monthly basis for action plan purpose and address outstanding leave days
- Validate the sales & marketing travelling and accommodation expenses and ensure compliance with the Travel Policy before approval

- Ensure high level of confidentiality of human resource related information.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification (Master's degree or MBA) is an added advantage.
- Professional HR certification such as CHRP, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or HRCI (PHR/SPHR) is required or highly desirable.
- Membership in the relevant professional HR body is preferred.
More Details on Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2–3 years in an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or equivalent strategic HR role.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, succession planning, learning and development, and organizational development.

- Sound knowledge of employment and labour laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to analyze HR metrics and use data to inform business decisions.
