Summary
Our client who is a food processing firm is looking for a Head of Security.He/She will be responsible for the security strategy, planning, implementation, and oversight of the overall security operations of the company to ensure the security of people and facilities and minimize company loss. The ideal candidate should possess a military or police background and have substantial experience in the corporate sector, particularly within manufacturing or service industries.
Description
- Collaborate with department managers to determine security needs.
- Develop and implement security protocols, procedures, and policies.
- Plan and implement comprehensive security strategies.
- Control the security operations budget, monitor expenses, and document processes.
- Supervise, recruit, and train security personnel.
- Gather security intelligence and implement preventative measures.
- Develop work schedules, allocate tasks, and monitor personnel performance.
- Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms, as well as compile incident reports.
- Prepare surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facilitate repairs in a timely manner.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and advancements in security services.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and security industry regulations.
- Ensure implementation of effective facility and security management policies across the business.
- Lead investigations, audits, security inspections, and resolve issues. Provide timely reports.
- Assist with the analysis and interpretation of trends and regulatory changes.
- Facilitate training programs for departments, staff, and security personnel regarding public safety and other regulatory requirements; revise and improve trainings as necessary.
- Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.
- Provide technical support in security/risk assessments, security plan development, crisis/contingency planning, and other security-related functions. Develop and update security plans, business continuity plans, and crisis management plans, and policies and procedures, in accordance with best practices and ensure their implementation.
- Provide advice and counsel to management on matters relating to employee and property safety and security.
- Ensure Kaizen-designated initiatives are implemented in the department, leading to continual improvement.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, Business Management, or related field required.
- Advanced training or certification in security preferred.
