We are looking to hire a qualified and experienced farm manager with verse knowledge in agriculture which comprises of animals and plants. The farm manager’s responsibilities will include monitoring staff, crops, and livestock, purchasing supplies, preparing budgets and reports, and ensuring maximum profit.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan finances and production to maintain farm progress against budget parameters.
  • Buy supplies such as fertilizer and seeds.
  • Have experience in handling livestock on-farm which comprises of poultry, cows and crops which comprises of vegetables, Tomatoes, fruits etc.
  • Implement strategies for maximum yield.
  • organize farm administration and manage businesses and farm staffs.
  • Maintain and monitor the quality of yield, whether livestock or crops.
  • Monitor animal health and welfare, including liaising with Government vets.
  • Maintain knowledge of pests, diseases, understanding how they spread and how to treat them.
  • Apply health and safety standards across the farm estate.
  • Handling the marketing and sale of products produced on the farm like fruits, vegetables, chicken, eggs etc.
  • Visiting different divisions to inspect crops, livestock and also perform tests on soil and water.
  • Ensuring seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other supplies are regularly restocked.
  • Artificial insemination and silage management experience is very important.
  • Planning, setting production targets, and buying materials needed for the farm, such as animal drugs and maintaining health and safety across the farm.
  • Continuously monitoring the quality, performance of the produce and also monitoring the health and welfare of the animals.
  • Managing the firm’s budget, cash flow and communicating with suppliers.
  • Monitoring and documenting all yields and record keeping.
  • Arranging the maintenance and repair of farm buildings, machinery and equipment.
  • Oversee and coordinate inspection and ensure reports are given on day today basis to the Social Enterprise Manager.
  • Maintaining knowledge of pests and diseases and understand how they spread and how to treat as well as control them.
  • Train or supervise farm workers or contract for services to ensure an efficient day to day activities or operations and also solve workers grievances.

A Bachelor's Degree

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Diploma in Agriculture Science, Animal Science or extensive experience in managing a farm

  • 2 - 5 year’s work experience.

  • A passion for agriculture and animal husbandry.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Individual should be a driver with a Valid Driver's License.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in managing a farm.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated and excellent budgeting skills
