Reporting to the Managing Director, the Farm Manager will provide leadership and supervise staff, monitor crops and animals, and handle various administrative tasks. Prepare budgets, purchase supplies, maintain relationships with vendors and clients, and ensure maximum profitability and Managing director can question him for under performance.

Key Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks 

• To ensure the animal feeds are available at all times, keep and provide the stock level as required 
• To keep all records for the Dairy including milk production, sales and distribution 
• To supervise the milking operations 
• To ensure cleanliness of the animal, paddocks and the compound is maintained at the highest level. 
• To report directly to the farm vet of any sick animals. 
• Maintenance of bio security protocol.
• Preparation of land for forage planting, weeding, and harvesting supervision. 
• Observe and maintain the sheep and rabbit’s records. 
• Manage herd health, such as vaccination and treatment of livestock diseases
• Overseeing propagation and preservation of fodder.
• Formulation of feed formulas that ensure the feedlot goals are met
• Supervision of all workers in the farm
• Budgeting-preparing weekly, monthly and annual forecast
• Reporting- annual, monthly and weekly reports for the Managing director.
• May be assigned some extra duties within nyagatugu Dairy

• A minimum of 2 years working experience with at least 1 year in management
