Reports to: Assistant Weighbridge Manager

Job Purpose:

We are looking for highly organized candidates with a minimum of 3 years’ hands on experience computer terminal operator in a busy data processing environment.

Responsibilities;

1. Data Entry and Processing: Accurately input and process data related to vehicle weights and measurements, ensuring all entries are complete and correctly recorded in the system.

2. Weighbridge Operations Monitoring: Operate computer terminals connected to the weighbridge system, monitor the weighing process, and ensure accuracy in weight measurements.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that data processing and weighing operations comply with the Traffic Act (CAP 403), the East African Community Vehicle Load Control Act (EACVLCA) 2016, and other relevant regulations.

4. Report Generation: Prepare and generate reports on daily weighing operations, including weight discrepancies, compliance issues, and equipment performance, for the Assistant Weighbridge Manager.

5. System Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with IT support to ensure that computer systems and software used in weighing operations are up-to-date and fully operational.

6. Record Management: Maintain accurate and secure records of all weighing data, ensuring easy retrieval for audit and compliance purposes.

7. Customer Service and Communication: Interact professionally with drivers and other stakeholders, providing clear information regarding weighing operations and addressing inquiries as necessary.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

1. Data Entry Accuracy: Achieve a data entry accuracy rate of 99%, minimizing errors in weight recording and reporting.

2. Timeliness of Data Processing: Process all weighbridge data in real time with an average processing time of less than 5 minutes per vehicle.

3. Compliance Rate: Maintain 100% compliance with the Traffic Act (CAP 403), EACVLCA 2016, and other regulatory standards, ensuring all weighing operations meet legal requirements.

4. Report Accuracy and Timeliness: Generate and submit daily weighing operation reports with 100% accuracy and within the required timeframe.

5. System Uptime: Ensure computer terminal and weighbridge system uptime at or above 98%, minimizing operational interruptions.

6. Record Management Efficiency: Maintain 100% of records in an organized manner, with complete data accessible within 10 minutes when required for audits or inspections.

7. Customer Satisfaction: Achieve a satisfaction rating of 90% or higher from drivers and other stakeholders by providing prompt and professional service during weighing operations.

• A minimum of least (3) hands on experience as computer terminal operator in a busy data processing environment.

• Should have a basic understanding of the Traffic Act (CAP 403) of the Laws of Kenya and related amendments and the East African Community Vehicle Control act ,2016(EACVLCA) and its attendant regulations
• Proficiency in computer
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
