Role Orerview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Kenya Office. The successful candidate will oversee. financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations. This role plays a vital part in supporting our humanitarian and development initiatives in Kenya.

Description

  • Revises alltypes of invoices and impute them on ERP accounting application.
  • Maintain accumte and upto-date financial records in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annualfinancial reports.
  • Prepares financial reports upon request.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring all expenditures align with donor and internal guidelines.
  • Process payments, including payroll, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funds for program activities.
  • Support external audits by preparing required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide financial insights and guidance.
  • Report to Country Director

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA certification is highly preferred.

More Details on Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management systems and software. (e.g Quickbooks and ERP)

More Details on Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficienry in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with donor compliance requirements (e.9., USAID, EU, UN agencies) is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Language {English & Arabic}
